To stop and think that 50 years have actually passed since I first set foot into the Nazareth Community of Concordia simply renders me mute! While I had my back turned, immersed in all the works of service within the Community and out in our “missions,” time flew by. These years have all passed in what seems like the blink of an eye. They have brought their challenges, but mostly their joys and sense of fulfillment.
Today I thank my dear family and Community for all they have done to “bring me up” as a productive contributor to the life of world and planet. The Sisters who have gone before me, the Sisters around me today – all are mentors, sisters, and friends. They have stood by me and encouraged me, prodded me and consoled me. They are the strength that I rely on; they are where today God and God’s ways are revealed to me in this service of leadership within the Community.
